I don't know that anyone is actually reading this, but the whole reason I started this project was to give some sense of the post-operative experience and recovery process for anyone contemplating a similar procedure. All the musings to this point aren't really very helpful (except maybe to me - in getting my mind around what I'm about to do)... it's the "was it worth it?" question I set out to explore and document.So... as I write this now, I'm 16 hours away from surgery. In case anyone's out there, yeah, I'm a little anxious. Who wouldn't be? But I really am looking forward to sharing my thoughts and experiences of the procedure and recovery... and I'll begin that process as quickly as possible. Surgery is Wednesday... I hope to be home Thursday (optimistically!)... and might be back online by the weekend.
